1. Service Description

Storieta is an AI-enhanced e-reader for EPUB and PDF books. It generates inline scene illustrations, extracts characters and recurring entities to keep their depictions consistent, and produces spoiler-aware chapter recaps so you can pick up where you left off.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create a Storieta account.

2. User Data & Privacy

To ensure transparency, here's how we handle your data:

• You always maintain full ownership of everything you upload
• Your books and AI-generated content are stored securely, encrypted, and private by default — nothing is shared unless you choose to share it
• Illustrations, character notes, and recaps generated for your books are yours to keep and use for personal purposes
• You can delete your account at any time

3. Acceptable Use

To keep our community safe, we ask that you:

• Only upload content you have the legal right to use
• Respect our platform's intellectual property
• Keep your account access personal and secure
• Obtain proper consent before storing others' intellectual property

If you believe content on Storieta infringes your copyright, contact us at contact@storieta.com and we will review and respond promptly.

4. Service Limitations

To set appropriate expectations about our service:

• Illustrations, character notes, and recaps are generated by AI. They may occasionally be inaccurate or depict scenes and characters differently than the text describes
• We occasionally need to perform maintenance to keep things running smoothly
• Features may change as the service evolves; we'll tell you about significant changes
• Different subscription plans come with different storage and generation capacities

5. Termination

While we hope it never comes to this, we may need to suspend account access if our terms are not followed. We'll always attempt to resolve any issues with you first before taking any such action.

6. Subscription and Cancellation

Our paid plans are billed on a recurring basis. You can cancel your subscription at any time:

• Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period
• You'll retain full access to paid features until the end of your billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial month cancellations
• After cancellation, your account will revert to the free plan

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Storieta is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Storieta will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless the consumer-protection laws of your place of residence require otherwise.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as our service evolves. When we make any significant changes, we'll make sure to let you know via email or through our platform. Continuing to use our service after these updates means you're comfortable with the changes.
